|
|
Been outa the loop for a few years and I've reinstalled NWNX2 and NWN. When I start NWNX2 it runs normally, starting the NWN Server, but it does not select the module that I want to run?
I've made the changes to the ini file and I've added
D:/Neverwinternights/NWN/NWNX2.exe -module "faithfulofaerth" under properties to the NWNX2.exe
What am I doing wrong?
Cheers

Wrong file. Use nwn2server.exe not nwn2.exe |

Seems he is try to running NWN1 not NWN2...
As far i can see there is no error in your properties - so i think something is missing (ie maybe a hak or a wrong modulname) ?
Can you look in your error log... _________________ Mikel of Avalon

Error log is all fine - I'll see if I'm missing a plug-in. Perhaps I have a conflict b/t module name and the call name in in ini file.
Thought that there would be an easy answer out there! Thanks for your help guys.
Cheers

That bit sounds wrong.
Shouldn't you put ModuleName = "faithfulofaerth" in the nwnx.ini? |

I'm not being very clear it seems. Here is a better explaination of what I've done.
*.ini file = "faithfulof aerth", Port 5121, Gamespy= 0, Watschdog= 1
NWNx2.exe =
D:/Neverwinternights/NWN/NWNX2.exe -module "faithfulofaerth"
I've also put the needed ODBC, Maddog.dll, NWNX2.exe et al. in my D/Neverwinternights/NWN/ file
Gonna try some other variations. I'm stimmied! It all looks right, but I've got an error somewhere.
In my logs I have an unrecognized database PRR(64237), but that has to do with an ingame script.
I'll keep trying and thanks for the throughputs.
Cheers

Do you need this bit?
Mine runs fine with just the module name in the ini file.
Everything looks fine though. |

Hmmmm, tried it w/o the module name and no dice - will keep at it! I must be missing a needed file in my nwn directory!
Cheers

Just a thought. Does your module have spaces in the name or is it without spaces? I encountered a similar problem in the past and it was all to do with a rogue space. The name used (including spaces) as to be identical to the module name. Apologies for stating the obvious. |

Hi there!
The module name and the module title do not have spaces. Hmm, I think I'm on to something, as I changed the module title to all lower case and without spaces.
I'll check that out. The extender -module name is the same as the one in the ini file.
I'll keep at it though. All the plugins are loading as per the log files.
Cheers

GOT IT!
The extender works off of the module name and not the module tag! I got the baby working now properly. Thanks all for you help, especially Xaltu for giving me a hint as to which directio I should go in!
Cheers
