can anyone confirm me that at this time (nwn2 1.03 and nwnx4 belta6) we cant make object to be permanent in inventory and stores?
If we can...can any one tell me how... it's the only thing we miss in our pw (to begin with ). |

SetPersistentObject don't work with nwnx4 v1.06 be cause the Obsidian function StoreCampaignObject don't work in nwn2 v1.03....
But actually you can use obsidian db with SetGlobalObject to store object in the obsidian db...

As of 1.03.840 (at least) the StoreCampaignObject & RetrieveCampaignObject functions work very well. I'm using these in loo of the NWNX Object functions. _________________ The World of Judur - The Shadow has Awoken |

That will be super great when we will have this working.
Sharing an obsidian database with objets in it between various servers causes a crash...
A temporary solution could be to use one obsidian database per object with a write once read once lifecycle and store the database name in MySQL via nwnx4. |

so storing objects is currently unsupported by the latest nwnx (1.07)? I didn't find any documentation one way or the other in the latest download or on the documentation links I found.

Yes, it's not supported. It is planned for future release, but for now, definitely no go.
There will be a workaround, because there is a need to be able to store objects right now. The real solution is still a bit further off, though. _________________ Papillon |
