|

I am yielding to the experts again here. I was wondering how do you guys that have multi instance worlds on one machine reboot your machines when they need it? I want to give something to my staff that would allow them to restart my server if I am not around. We have persistance enabled so I am okay with loosing whatever hasnt been saved since the last 5 min save.
Is there some tool I can use that I can make an .exe or file that a staff member could run that would shutdown NWNX2 and the NWN server instances and reboot my windows machine?
Thanks... "T" |

There is a plugin that you can use to restart NWN servers, maybe it could be modified to simply shutdown a server instance ?
There is another plugin (nwnx system I think) that you can use to issue commands to the system with, e.g. a batch file that runs the following Windows command:
I am not sure whether restarting windows is strictly necessary, nowadays. It could even hurt database performance in the first few minutes. _________________ Papillon |
