|
|
I just got a new box for a NWN2 server:
- Athlon x64 X2 6400+ Black
- 8 GB of Ram
- GeForce 8400 GS w/ 512
- Windows Vista x64 Ultimate Edition
I have been running a NWN2 server for over a year on a 32-bit Win XP Pro box. Now I am trying to set up the new one and I cannot get it working. Here are some issues I am seeing...- The Documantation for NWNX4 1.08 refers to madCHook.dll but it is not in the package any more. NWNX4_GIU.exe fails because it it looking for it.
- If I copy madCHook.dll from my other server, NWNX4_GUI.exe starts up but AntiVir sees madCHook.dll as a virus and the GUI doesn't do anything but sit there.
- I can start a server through the Multiplayer dialog and it does open the module but not with nwnserver.exe or with NWNX4_GUI.exe.
Any advice? _________________ Jim (aka, Urlord)

Check out the 'Detours' enabled version of NWNX
It should work with the 64bit environment, and doesn't need MadCHook.

Start Here
I'm not sure on the full extent that this has been taken, but It looks promising for inclusion into the 'master' build.
Cheers
