Is there a mod somewhere that would disallow players to see who's logged in and their class makeup? I think it'd be great if we could disable that on our PW so that players could keep their builds more secret... eliminate some of the metagaming.

I didn't heard about any plugin, that would disable it.

BUT Its possible to modify GUI in way that if you click on Player List it will crash the client game. And maybe its possible to modify it so it won't crash neither it won't show up players.

Of course, not stupid player will just remove this changed GUI from haks. However I saw on one client-server utility, that wouldn't let player log-in to server if he haven't this changed GUI in haks.

If you are interested in this workaround, I'll ask amins of that server if they share it (you can download client-side program and hak with GUI, but you need server-side program).

That could be done as a plugin, though, I imagine. Not sure how much work it would be.

I'm sure forcing people to download a modded GUI that deliberately crashes the player isn't legal. I mean come on, it's like this DRM crap that game companies are coming up with... do we have to sink this low?

Legal doesn't mean what you thing it means Wink

I assume Brilhasti is talking about the player list you get on connect? Just need a way to suppress that information being sent out by server, which is not in my pay grade.

Source and binaries for Linux and Win32 are included. I only included the modified files in the source -- it's based on a stripped-down nwnx_fixes.

I have a few other functionality changes that I'd like to include in a nwnx_tweaks package with .ini options to enable the ones you want (right now I have them in a custom build of nwnx_fixes). I'll commit that when I package it a bit cleaner.

Packate include makefile.in and other files needet do compile as separate plugin (nwnx_nocharlist.so).
