Possible, sure. I plan to add that eventually.

Is it possible to hide online status of individuals completely?

Eg - No name, No Portrait, and No Character info displayed on the server players list from the Character Select screen?

It would be nice if it could be coded to be an optional toggle, of DMS Hidden, DMS/Players Hidden, Players Hidden.

Is the hiding of players (completely, not just masking them) on the character select screen, at all possible? Eg - Displays 5/64 players online, but does not show the players or DMs?

That was what the first release did. It's now an option in NWNX.ini, along with hiding classes/levels and portraits.

Its great when community members actually add the features that bioware should have added in the first place. Lol

There has been loads of times when I plan to surprise my players, but they always seem to know im online as DM by logging out every now and again, and checking the character select screen or something.

Makes it harder to roleplay, when they know im about. Lol

Filtering out classes and DMs would be great! Don't forget DM-possessed NPCs/monsters.

I'm REALLY interested in using this plugin for Windows however I have a few questions

Where is the up-to-date version dll for windows servers?
What .ini settings do I need to make/change?
Do I need to do anything else (like via scripting) to get this to work?

Thanks in advance

In my head at the moment Wink

The Linux version in SVN has them listed in NWNX2.ini.sample or some similar file name; I'll stick with the same ones for Windows.

No, just drop it in and go (and configure if necessary).

The file linked earlier in this thread will work fine if all you want to do is completely blank the list. That one doesn't even have any configuration.

Zebranky -

I like the work you did to this plug-in. Thank you.

Can I ask you to expand on it just a bit? Is it even possible?

The blank player list gives the appearence of the server being empty.

I would like the player list to show the names of the characters logged on without showing the build types. Showing the user log names might be nice as well. Perhaps it would be possable to have some of this user-adjustable in the servers INI file.

Just a thought.

Thanks again,

Ha! It seems I downloaded the first version release without realizing there was 3 more pages of reading.

Now that I am all caught up with my reading, it seems I'm not the only to ask for this. I too have a windows server (windows 2000 server and windows 2000 advanced server). I don't have the ability to compile this, or even to write it, so anything you can do would be greatly apprishiated (liked).

Thanks again for all your help.

Would it be at all possible to integrate this with nwn script to allow interaction via scripting with the plugin?

Eg -
Enable / Disable the playerlist hiding from within the server.
Enable / Disable the DM list hiding from in the server at will.

Maybe even being able to specify the portraits, class, and name of characters that appear in the player list.

Eg - Altering what appears in serverlist dynamically. Maybe even generate some fake entries. Lol

Woah hold on. Wait for initial release before suggesting additions!

Just began using the Windows version of this on Narfell, disabling class and level only - great stuff, and kudos to Zebranky. Smile

Win32 nwnx_fixes in SVN is updated with hide_charlist_all/levels/portraits. Next up: hide_charlist_dms. Smile

Windows users get the new toys first this time. hide_charlist_dms is in Win32 SVN.

Let me know if it doesn't seem to work right. Determining whether something is a DM is more complicated than it should be, but it SHOULD handle DM-possessed NPCs versus player-possessed familiars correctly.

Hahaa
Win32 Developer to the Rescue. Lol

Dm Hiding will be fun.
Players often log out and then back in, to check if a DM is on.

Now they are in for a surprise when that no longer helps them.

Ideally, I'd love this to be configurable via nwScript.

It would be really good, if Individual DM's could opt in and out of showing their presence.

But sure, One Step at a time. Your cranking out updates for this Plugin fast as it is.
