utf-8 accent don't work

I use nwnx4 with the excellent legend plugin, but I have a problem that probably comes from the database.
I followed all installation tutorials of legend plugin.
I installed Mysql selecting all languages​​, then I created a database by choosing uft-8.
When I look in the database texts are accented by cons when I run the server and then I play the texts come without accents, more precisely accented letters disappear. I am French and quests without accent is really hard ...
I don't really know how to do and I'm looking here for any help ...
