Is there a way to allow the server (using nwnx or not) to detect if a client is using NWNCX? |

NWNX/NWNCX Connect plugins are responsible for client-server communication. In their current form they don't perform any kind of handshake that would identify the server or the client as using NWNX/NWNCX. The fact that the vanilla client would just ignore unidentified packets was enough for hak preloading, and it doesn't do anything else at the moment.
What idea did you have in mind for this? _________________ In Soviet Russia, NWN plays you! |

For now nothing.
I was considering the idea of using nwncx to overcome a few limitations or to improve the overall graphics.
But before just thinking about it i need a way to check if the clients are using nwncx. |

Implementing version/feature/plugin detection is much easier than improving graphics or adding any major features to the game. Once it becomes relevant, it can be added very quickly. _________________ In Soviet Russia, NWN plays you! |
