So I'm working on getting DMFI added to a friends server, he is currently using NWNX4, and MySQL and i have added DMFI in, and for some reason we keep getting a error message = Invalid Database - Rebuild Required upon log in, then right after the server crashes. So I have been digging through DMFI's code to find database code and how I need to alter his database scripts (or do I have to actually rebuild his database?) But so far I have not found anything of note.. am I missing something? sorry some what new to database stuff. |

Its been a long long long time since I ever forced myself to use DMFI stuff, I use Simtools which, at least at the time, was more stable and reliable.
However, if you are using DMFI that I remember, then the Database may be in the database folder in nwn.
Last time I used DMFI, they had not implimented nwnx mysql databases.
You can try backing up your database folder, then deleting the DMFI database files, then restart.
DMFI usually rebuilds databases when they are not detected.
Note - If the database files are #huge# then the freezing or crashing you are describing, could be the overhead hang, caused by DMFI trying to sift through the database.
Bioware DB's are notorious for being slow, and cpu hogs. |
