This plugin has been in the repo for a while now, but I thought I might showcase it here to give it some visibility.
nwnx_mash is pretty simple; it exposes libmhash/mcrypt and allows fast and secure hashing and mcrypt'ing from inside nwserver.
If you ever wanted to have the MD5, SHA1, CRC, etc. of a string inside nwserver, or use real HMACs/mcrypt+keygen for your nefarious purposes, this is what you want.
Usage is fairly simple - see the README at the link above, and then the include.
Usage should be completely self-explainatory.
