|
|
Hello. I have NWN 1 and I have created some modules for playing with friends. Nevertheless, I want to include other software (images, videos and minigames, for example) for getting more variety while interacting with the game.
I want to include other software (i.e.: games or puzzles made in Flash or Java) in NWN modules created using Aurora Toolkit.
I've read about a project developed in Vanderbilt University (USA) which involve both, a module created with Aurora of NWN and a teaching system developed in JAVA, known as Bety`s Brain: http://www.teachableagents.org/presentations/RiverAdventureAIED2005Handouts.pdf
I'd like to know if somebody out there can helpme to do this, I mean, to include other software (games or puzzles, videos, illustrations, etc.) in a module of NWN, using Aurora and NWNX. |

Impossible without haks, and even with it's fairly limited, your chance of including Flash or Java with the resources which the community have available at the moment is nil. Sorry. |

Two things stand out to me there.
1) nwnx_java. This plugin does not exist in the open domain. Probably an invention of the university.
2) "Limited flexibility" was one of the disadvantages of NWN listed. Indeed, it's this limitation that means that what you ask is only possible if someone decides to develop a special plugin that will do those things that you ask.
As for haks, they are files that go in the hak folder which add content, blueprints, conversations and scripts to a module (mostly content). You generally need a tlk file to go with the hak, which is a custom talktable for introducing words into the content. |

In this project they used server-side extensions. You're talking about client-side extensions.
So you can use your Java or Ruby programs with NWServer+NWNX, but there are no tools for client-side modifications. |

Hi
Does anyone still have this nwnx_java plugin?
Looks like http://www.netforge.nl/nwn/ doesnt work anymore. And even google can't find it, except on the non-fuctioning old vault |
