[OFF TOPIC] Neverwinter Nights English vs. Japanese edition.

I have just bought the Windows, English edition of NWN, SOU and HOU (being that I live in England ;-). However I also use Japanese a lot and I would _like_ to be able to enter Japanese text.*

It is possible to put fonts that include Japanese characters in the override
folder. However to enter Japanese the IME has to work, and it doesn't work for me, even though I have heard that it should work. Other (Japanese) people have had the IME work in half-width katakana mode to enter text in the Pools of Radiance module modified for Japanese (back when there was no Japanese edition of NWN).

So if anyone here has experience of using NWN with far-east characters (e.g. Japanese, Korean, Chinese) with an English edition of NWN let me know.

* A Japanese version of the game would be good - but they have no compilation packs meaning it would cost about 90 pounds + shipping (and a lot of fiddle to get) compared with 20 pounds in the UK.
