One thing that would be extremly benefitial is a very in-depth how-to on setting up APS/NWNX2 from the ground up, including the perverbial how-to's for new people on setting up different databases for use with yalls system, along with what is needed to change in the modules. Reason why I say make it as indepth and straighforward as possible is that if you set it out like granite the first time, it will make it so that there will be less people posting questions on how to set it up roperly... if its right there in thier face.

I know the website is new and such. But do plan to have any linux support forums or more linux documentation?
More setup information in general would be good

Thanks
joe

I think a linux specific forum is a neat idea, since quite a few people have troubles settting up NWNX on linux. Documentation or tutorials will be added to the website AS SOON AS WE RECEIVE SOME The NWNX team will most likely not have enough time to write extensive tutorials on how to set things up. There have been users who contributed some nice tutorials in the past, and I surely hope others will do the same in the near future !

Greetings all.

I'd love to see a sticky 'Change Log' thread in the General Discussion section and/or as part of the Documentation area.

Good idea about the 'Change Log'. I'll check where it fits on the website.

A question for general opinion: should the CMS display dates as ddmmyy or mmddyy? On the homepage, it's coming out as ddmmyy which is perfectly valid in many places in the world. However, it may be confusing for the majority of NWNX.org members.

People, hear me out: In reality, it's just confusing to Manuel to recognize 90% of the world is using ddmmyy, while he's not Twisted Evil

Isn't there something like an ISO standard for international date formats, that requires "YYYY-MM-DD" ? Razz

I came here looking to see if I could donate or something. NWNX is the coolest thing since, uhm.. NWN. I'd like give you some returns for your effort. I could be the only one, but it might be worthwhile to set something up for donations.

Hello Otting,

thanks for your offer to donate. We appreciate it, since it shows us people value NWNX highly and want to give something in return.

However, I decided very early that I would rather not take money in any form. NWNX is a fun and spare time project and it will stay that way. If the distance between us would be less, I would suggest buying me a beer Very Happy, but since this is not viable, maybe you would like to show your thankfulness by submitting a tutorial on NWNX setup ?
