Downloaded the files.
Configuered some stuff as it was told to, installed MySql on ma winXP since it didnt seem to be in there alredy (even thou the documentation said so, guess Bill didnt agree)...
Read along, edited more files...
read:
Create an ODBC datasource: in the Control Panel select Administrative Tools and then Data Sources (ODBC). In the System Tab click on Add, and fill in the required fields. When finished the datasource should appear in the list (if not, consult your database system manual).
Say what? Theres a TON of different things in there? Im suposed to do what?
About here the "help file" went from a help file to gibberish.

It sounds like youve got an old readme there, the website has the current details for the ODBC2 plugin which can do MySQL connections directly to the server without the ODBC layer in between (making the plugin name just confusing).

Eh, thats exactly what I have... and thats what I refere to...
I did post the exact topic heading there it went from sane step by step to insane get a doctors degree in mysql setup... |
