Ok, I have a copy of 1.07 and I am about to install it. My current version of 1.06 is running as a service and using MySQL 5.0.
Any advice on the best process for upgrading to 1.07.

I am not sure what is correct, but I just copied over all the files and everything is working. Just be sure to reset the .ini files to match the 1.06 ones. It also seems ok with NWN2 patch 4

Yes, it works NWN2 1.04 beta.
Just copy the files over and remember to adjust your ini files accordingly. There are some new options in them.

Ok - I did that and all appears to be working fine. But, how do I access this new nifty GUI.

Just start the _GUI exe instead of the controller. It basically does the same, but without the need for command line parameters.
