So the server has no idea what's going on. In order to implement SetName or SetDescription you would have to make someway to do it outside of nwserver. Which I am not sure if is possible. Or find a way to make to make it work with an existing scripting command and special params so nwnx will deal with it like other requests.

I'm pretty sure those things are already doable via letoscript, for those people who really want it. Although adding a more direct method would certainly not be a bad thing. Smile

At the moment I think it will be good enough to simply be able to store objects. If you can figure out how to manipulate the actual objects. One could in theory do it outside of nwnx and nwserver and have the changes take place when the object is brought back into the game. With a new name, description or etc.

I, for one, would gleefully accept just the ability to store object in a blob field in the database. I've got everything that I can cross, crossed. Very Happy

I would like to see this ported and beyond aswell.

Primarily to get object manipulation to work with my Java API.

Get in touch with me on MSN or ICQ and lets see what we can come up with together on this.

I can at least try to give you the locations / byte signature of SCO/RCO.

I would appreciate it if you could write them down in a pm, email or through MSN/ICQ as soon as you see this. I and obsidian-studios are working on it this weekend.

If there are others wanting to help out, get in contact with us!

Uh, sorry... got sidetracked heavily (by work). I have done some research by now, but still have nothing presentable at the moment.

If possible try to get ahold of us via IM. I added you to my list, and will get the info over to mnx.

I believe the hooks are identified correctly in our current code, but there is some assembly to do to get it to work and wrap things up.

Time is not somehing I have plenty of though and if someone wants to help out, then get in touch with me and we can go forward together.
