When running nwn2server on a multicore processor, it is important to set affinity of a server on a core to improve stability an avoid strange 100%CPU lag.
Y actualy use a bash shell on cygwin with a command line utility to set the affinity.
As a futur improvement, it could be great to have the affinity set bey nwnx4.

Ideally, we could have nwnx itself set to one CPU, and the server set to the other... _________________ Khalidine, a NWN2 persistent world

nwnx doesn't load CPU. The most important thing is to have the affinity set for the server on one core. For multiserver PW, each server could be bound to a différent core. (I've got 2 cores and 2 servers) |

Good idea. This should be easy to do and adds another feature to one of NWNX's main goals: Running multiple servers.
Btw, NWNX4 itself uses probably less CPU cycles than the Windows clock in the lower right corner _________________ Papillon |
