|
|
I am running an NWN2 with NWNX4 Server on a Windows XP Virtual Machine which again is running in a virtual network on a dedicated server.
The Server is generally up and running very well.
The problem is, that after being idle for more than 8 hours (with nobody being on the module) the connection from nwnx to the mysql-server dies away, as there is a timeout value supplied with my mysql-installation. (The timeout-value applies, as I am accessing mysql via network and not via local socket)
Unfortunately simply rasing that variable value (interactive_timeout) doesnt do the trick. The log still tells that the mysql-connection has "gone away" after a few hours.
Does anyone have an idea? |

Run a heartbeat update or select request every 10th heartbeat or so. _________________ Khalidine, a NWN2 persistent world

Usually configuration of Timeout values can be set to infinite by changing the value to 0. (no timeout)
Check the doco.
