hey guys, i just wanted to post a few of the things that have been possible due to the amazing job you all have done with the nwnx system. i'll briefly go over them here, but much more detail is available on my nwvault submissions. and yes, there is a very fine line here between being a shameless plug for myself and trying to give back to the community.
my first project was a simple player/server status page using the odbc plugin. i see that it pales in comparison to many others out there, but it was enough for me to cut my teeth on.

another project is a web form that players can submit stories/bards tales/news/whatever to the game. these inputs are put in a database that NPCs can read from and talk about. my specific use case is a bard sitting at a campfire that retells the web-submitted stories. you could also have paperboys shouting news from DMs, etc. anyway:

next, i wrote a web-interface to in game PC chat system using both the odbc and the chat plugins. users can log in on the web and see the PCs in the game. chatting in the box will send messages to the PCs, and the PCs can use a special chat hook to send messages back to the web.

finally, i created a system for a DM to view minimaps of the pw and spawn creatures, placeables, items, etc via from the web.

again, sorry to be spamming my work, but i thought it was appropriate to show what your NWNX system has made possible for me. |

yeah, i'm still developing it (albeit somewhat slowly). depending on when you last played, i'm sure it is quite different. you should check out the forums for the updates. |
