I thought detours had injection functions? I only work with licensed version here, not the open version. Maybe someone could fill me in.

Exactly.

1. Detours offers code hooking. Several of us are already using it successfully.
2. Detours offers code injection routines.

Instead of using the code referenced above and some other method of hooking (what is being used right now other than Detours or MadCodeHook, I don't know), why not simply use Detours?

While the information referenced is useful in understanding the injection and hooking process, better to use a mature and tested product than code snippets off of a forum.

The original question posed was whether to move hooking to Detours, so much of this discussions is irrelevant anyway.

Can the Preview1 package please be given a copy of DETOURED.DLL?

I'm done with VS for a while & don't want to trash my freshly installed OS to compile one missing DLL.

Thanks!!!

The version I provided doesn't require detoured.dll.
I sent the sourcecode for this altered version of detours to Papillon, so we won't need it.

Exactly. You do not need the DLL, thanks to mckillroy.
