The thing that made me really notice NWNX was Shadow Door, the possibilities of making your own AI appealed to me. But i wonder if Shadow Door is still compatible with NWNX, as far as i can see it's no longer being developed. Or is there an alternative to Shadow Door?

Shadow Door could have just as easily been written in NWScript. It was kind of a proof of concept. The idea is still viable, however. You can do anything you want (as far as caclulating responses for AI or other things) in C++ and use the NWNX string hook to send it information and return a result. The result will still have to be parsed by NWScript to make actions inside NWN. Shadow Door did not hook (nor has anyone) game actionable NWScript.
