dougnoel had the excellent idea to create a Wiki for everything about NWNX:
http://editthis.info/nwnx/Main_Page
This thread is meant for coordination and discussion about creating new documentation and tutorials. Please speak up if you feel you could make life for new users of NWNX a bit easier. If you can't code, this is the place to jump on the team ! _________________ Papillon

Can you be more specific ? I got a wiki when I just clicked on the link. Or maybe it was just a temporary problem ? _________________ Papillon |

Ok, Doug has taken over a job with big responsibility over at Avlis, and will not have enough time to work on the Wiki or on documentation.
So I need someone else to work on updating the documentation and tutorials. The actual writing will most likely not be a job for just one person, unless someone really dedicated shows up. Even small contributions really do help!
To spice things up a bit, I've decided what my personal contribution to the documentation will be this time: 20 lines at max. No, really. I guess the community will have to become a bit more active than with NWNX2...
Topics:
* General overview on NWNX (what does it do, requirements)
* Database support (types of databases, requirements=
* Tutorials (scripting, database installation)
* ... ? _________________ Papillon |

That depends on the french... personally, I have never gotten a request for french documentation. But if there is a need ... why not ?
Of, there needs to be something for translation before one can start on a french version _________________ Papillon |

While French is my first language, I still prefer english documentations.
But I guess it could extend the range of people who could use nwnx4. |

I agree with you.
Some frenchies don't read english documentations and scope could be extended by these translations.

Well, the point is, there must be an english documentation before someone can translate it I really hope someone is up to this task. _________________ Papillon |

Since I've already written rudimentary install instructions for NWNX for the HGLL and SIMTools systems, I might as well step up to the plate. When will you need the docs by? And will the setup essentially be the same? Sounds like it from the few remarks you've made, at least.
