NWNX4 Prototype 1.04 Not starting.

I've followed the exact installations of the documentation of this website, but nwn2 server will not start.

I'm running with MySQL and I've set up everything correctly. I've edited the ini file with appropriate values and I've copied all the files specified.

I double click NWNX4_Controller.exe and a dos window opens and shut downs before I can see anything.

So.... I'm truly confused. What's going on? Is there something I'm missing? I've tried looking around on the forums, but all info seems outdated (i.e. nwn1).

Found the problem, but it didn't solve anything :/

To anyone who encounter this problem - start nwnx4_controller.exe in a command line window. That'll give you the error message. Which in my case is lack of command line parameters.


When I try running with parameters "-installservice" nwnx4_controller.exe crashes with the following error info.

AppName: nwnx4_controller.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: msvcr80.dll
ModVer: 8.0.50727.163 Offset: 0004a01f

have u tried creating a shortcut for NWNX_Controler, and adding the "-interactive" parameter onto the "target" field of the shortcut ???

The service functions are not ready yet. Remember: Prototype.

Unfortunately, until NWNX4 leaves the prototype state, people will have to experiment a little to get it to work. But of course, there's always someone on the forum here to help you out .
