I am, and after installing nwnx 1.8 I the rowell system wont work at all.
I uploaded all the scrip in my module but there was a change in some command name ans way to use it... that meen we need to go tru all the 130 scripts ans find them.
most of them are in row_inc_..... files
I changed all the :SetLocalString to NWNXSetString but there must be other function name change... someone can help ? |

Uh, they call SetLocalString directly ? This might be a little work to adapt to 1.08...
Basically, you have to replace the function calls (like you did) and also use the new way of passing parameters. Before, you had to encode most parameters into one string, now that there are more parameters available with 1.08, that is no longer necessary, and you have to adapt the calls accordingly. _________________ Papillon |

Me too i run Rowell's kit.
Reading the nwnx4 1.08 problems i'm still on 1.07.
Wath precisely i must change on the functions to make them 1.08 compatibles?
My pw is running from a while so i'm afraid to make substantial changes...on the fly .
If anyone can give an example of the changes on functions call from 1.07 to 1.08 i'm been happy (i don't found anything on the forum/site). |

Really, the authors of the kit should update it to reflect the changes in the new include file. After all, it's based on prototype versions of NWNX, and those versions were called prototype for a reason - namely, that the interface is likely to change until it becomes final.
I'd suggest to kindly ask them if a new version is planned and to direct them to this forum if any questions pop up. _________________ Papillon |

Well, if Rowell will not update his kit any longer, I guess some of the scripters who now maintain it will. _________________ Papillon |

I wish so.. but its been a month since they have the source and no new. im putting my hope on fusion. the programmer implemented all of my suggestions and the progression is going well, and the next version use nwnx4 1.8 and a all my suggestion in it, cant wait. I removed rowell from my persistent world. that sad... he made a lot a update since february but let everything doin because since patch 1.06 nwn2 wont run on is pc. |
