I'm still coming up the learning curve on scripting and NWNX. Is there any way for a NWScript command through NWNX to execute a command *outside* the game environment, such as a shell script?

That would allow one, for example, to swap out .bic files or other measures for which there are not IG hooks.

What I am looking for initially are ways to modify normally "unmodifiable" character traits, like race and hairstyle, from an IG hook like a spell or an area script.

I think you could pass parameters from nwscript though nwnx to ShellExecute to execute stuff outside of the nwn environment.

Its just an almost educated guess though.

Gryphyn has you covered.

http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2Other.Detail&id=249You can look at the example to see how to format the command line.
