I'm thinking of upgrading my NWN1 PW hosting server from a 32-bit windows XP to 64 bit windows XP OS, primarily for the additional RAM (yes, I know NWN only uses 2gig max, but I figure other systems of the OS and NWNx could benefit which could benefit the server overall)
Also, while I run NWNx, I don't currently have MySQL active. It's on the inexhaustive things-to-do list, so I don't want to do anything that would impede my ability to incorporate that functionality.
Are there any issues or watch-outs for upgrading the system related to NWN, NWNx, MySQL or other thing I should be aware of? Are others doing it now or have upgraded themselves and have anything to share?
Thanks! _________________ www.arenthyor.com |

You'll get to track down and install a ton of things (32bit odbc for example). Can think of very few ways it would be worth the hassle. _________________ Neversummer PW NWNx powered mayhem |

It will be worth the hassle due to the extra VA space (4GB) you would potentially stand to gain, for a very large module. |

Mine currently uses 1.2G RSS, with over 3GB of mapped memory. (on linux)
