I'm thinking of upgrading my NWN1 PW hosting server from a 32-bit windows XP to 64 bit windows XP OS, primarily for the additional RAM (yes, I know NWN only uses 2gig max, but I figure other systems of the OS and NWNx could benefit which could benefit the server overall)

Also, while I run NWNx, I don't currently have MySQL active. It's on the inexhaustive things-to-do list, so I don't want to do anything that would impede my ability to incorporate that functionality.

Are there any issues or watch-outs for upgrading the system related to NWN, NWNx, MySQL or other thing I should be aware of? Are others doing it now or have upgraded themselves and have anything to share?

Thanks!

You'll get to track down and install a ton of things (32bit odbc for example). Can think of very few ways it would be worth the hassle.

It will be worth the hassle due to the extra VA space (4GB) you would potentially stand to gain, for a very large module.

I've never seen NWN1 server using more than 500 MB.

Mine currently uses 1.2G RSS, with over 3GB of mapped memory. (on linux)
